Fellowship Cup: Round Two
So, yeah, hey. Round two happened. And it was wicked cool. Yeah.
Um, kay, here's what happened:
The bounty hunter Boba Fett continued his rampage, this time against the soldier Solid Snake. The fights of round two occurred at Balin's Tomb, in the Mines of Moria. Both comb
atants knew how to adapt fast and use their surroundings, and that happened almost instantaneously. Boba Fett did have the advantage of his jetpack, and began by rocketing in a wide circle around the room, firing his blaster rifle in short bursts, most of which Snake dodged by rolling. Snake returned fire with dual pistols, one shot of which found a weak spot in Fett's armor, knocking him to the ground. Fett quickly climbed up on one knee, unleashing a flamethrower blast from his arm gun and heating Snake's body armor enough to damage him severely. Fett then followed through with a toxic dart to Snake's neck, which he was too stunned to avoid, and he collapsed to the ground.

The young Hyrulian Link faced the dark and mysterious Spawn next, and this fight was long and furious. Link sol
emnly began with a song from his magic instrument, and granting himself a blessing of increased speed. Link drew his bow with a flaming arrow, aimed, and released at Spawn on the other side of the room, but Spawn sidestepped easily and dodged it. Spawn could see by the look in the young hero's eyes that he had a noble heart, and he knew that his magic would have no effect on him. So he expertly whipped out his automatic rifle and began a heavy burst of gunfire Link jumped and rolled, using his Mirror Shield to deflect most of them, but he did take a few hits. Spawn soon realized that the hero was too fast to finish from long range, so he drew out his famous chain and began swinging it in a flurry. Link responded with a series of shield blocks and sword stabs, but was unable to hit much due to Spawn's swinging. Link was clever enough, however, to be able to use counter moves and look for openings that Spawn left when swinging. He was able to wear him down this way, but in the end Spawn was much stronger, and as Link backflipped onto the stone tomb to prepare a finishing sword strike, Spawn grabbed his ankle with his long chain, flinging him hard against the stone walls and finishing him.

Next came a true battle of the poster-boys, with Marvel's Spiderman facing off against DC's Batman. Spiderman had a decided speed advantage, and began with two large leaps, one from the floor to the ceiling, then one rocketing towards Batman while spinning his entire body. Batman leapt sideways, then made a strong right hook with his armblade, which his target avoided by quickly dodging backwards. Spiderman then grabbed Batman's arm, flipping him backwards over his shoulder, but the Dark Knight was alert enough to twist and land on his feet. He responded with three quick batarangs, but the webslinger easily avoided all of them. He then countered with a webline in an attempt to ensnare the crime fighter, which also failed. After a long period of time with little to no hits being landed, the presiding referee declared Sudden Death, stating that the next hit landed would end the match. After several more dodges, Batman was able to land a punch on Spidey as he leapt
by, and the round was over.

The next fight was very short, with the Human Torch fighting to win against Squall. It was really very little contest, since the Torch began with a big fireball that knocked Squall of his feet and consequently unconscious. Nice, man, nice.

The next fight was the first of several embarrassing fights, with the bulky yet not brainy Tick competing with the Master of Evil Ganondorf. Link's hated rival began with an evil chuckle and an attempt to conjure up a large magic blast, but the Tick began long strides towards him, and with a big grin he uppercutted his foe off his feet and into the stone ceiling. Ganon attempted to struggle to his feet, but the Tick grabbed his ankles, spun him around, and threw him into a wall. The rest of the fight was nothing special, just more of the same. Only one question remains: Does the Tick actually know he won?

Then came another embarrassment. In the match between the Jedi Master Yoda and Batman's pupil Nightwing, Yoda just couldn't seem to get his stuff right. We really don't know what went wrong. He had the Force, he had the cool little muppet grimace, and he had the wicked lightsaber skills. And Nightwing just ran circles around him. Yoda did his sweet flips and slashes, and the young crimefighter dodged it all. He didn't manage to land a lot of punches himself, and the round soon came to Sudden Death.
And then Nightwing punched him.
Wow, that hurt to watch.

Then came a powerhouse fight. Fellow Justice Leaguers Superman and Green Lantern found themselves against each other, and soon realized that they'd have to fight to get anywhere. They did fight, and it was utter destruction. Although there was very limited space in the room, the two flew rapidly in one tight circle after each other, launching blasts of energy in each other's wakes. Superman's heat vision left thin trails in the wall, and the Lantern's green blasts knocked the stone out of them. Then the two halted on opposite sides of the room, and Lantern began furiously shooting one energy lance after another. Superman was simple not prepared, and took all the hits directly. As he was staggering off the ground to recover, the Green Lantern used the might of his ring to hurl the Man of Steel down into Balin's Tomb, breaking it in half. Superman did not climb out of the rubble.
Superman vs. Green Lantern= Green Lantern

The final fight was another pure power contest, this time between the intergalactic messenger Silver Surfer and the mighty Doomsday. The room was wrecked to begin with, with the stone slab in the center broken in half and pieces missing out of the walls, but the Surfer was too focused and Doomsday too, well, too unintelligent to notice. Doomsday charged forward with a roar, but the Surfer knocked him completely back with cosmic energy. Doomsday jumped up and swung with a punch that would have left shards of bone in his foe, but it was dodged, and the Surfer blasted him, this time without ceasing, until he didn't get up again.

Wow, that's round two! We're nearing a close now, so good luck to those of you still in. (In case you hadn't noticed, your rounds get longer and cooler descriptions the longer you stay in.)
Phew, that was an hour well-spent. For those of you that won, that is.
